Getting to know you potluck!!

Well, inspite of the rain, on Sunday May 18, 2008 we held our first barn BBQ potluck!! I have to say that Bob's idea to bring the BBQ into the arena was great! It was funny to watch him bringing the BBQ up the driveway on his big digger though!

It was so nice to get to know people a little better, but it was nicer still watching people chatting and getting to know each other in such a great setting.

Didn't the kids (large and small) enjoy climbing on the hay and up into the rafters? I really liked the hay 'house' you guys built.

The launch of the Pony Team went well - what a great response we have had to that. It is going to be some excellent fun and we will post news of our events here regularly. A HUGE thank you to Jill for the excellent work she did on the t-shirts! I know how much time and effort it took, and considering how busy Jill is - we really appreciate all her hard work.

Well, I'm going to try to make a slide show on the blog of pictures from the potluck BBQ - hopefully it works.

I took this video of the ponies in the field - testing out a camera that I'm thinking of buying. It's dustproof!! Great to have at a barn!

Here's Rachel and Mouse this past Saturday in the arena. They are getting ready to do some stretching and muscle building by riding 'long and low'!! I just love watching them ride. Rachel finally let me ride Mouse - she has such a lovely bouncy - floaty gait - but she is so 'forward' that I'm still a bit nervous on her. - Posted by Susan.
